Jazz Fest gates for GAM 043023 (copy)

Now that the 2024 Jazz Fest lineup with Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Foo Fighters, Anderson .Paak many more performers has been announced, it's time to start thinking about tickets.

The festival runs Thursday, April 25, through Sunday, April 29, and Thursday, May 2, through Sunday, May 5, at the New Orleans Fair Grounds Race Course. Thursday, May 2, is headlined by The Rolling Stones.

Single-day tickets will go on sale in coming weeks. Weekend passes have been available since early December, following the announcement of The Rolling Stones appearance at the fest. Fans can buy four-day weekend passes for either weekend. Early bird prices are $290 for the first weekend while supplies last, and then go to $320 in advance. The second weekend is $465 for early bird, and then $495 in advance. Weekend pass holders get a wristband for entrance and are not transferable and are not good for re-entry to the festival.

New General Admission+ four-day passes include express entry gates and use of a lounge with private restrooms. The pass comes with a wristband that allows re-entry to the Fair Grounds. The passes are $499 early bird and then $549 in advance for the first weekend. Second weekend GA+ costs $749 early bird and $799 in advance.

There also is a new three-day pass for the second weekend. It covers Friday, May 3, through Sunday, May 5, which means it's not good for Thursday when The Rolling Stones perform. The three-day passes are $240 early bird, and will be $270 in advance. 

The "Locals" Thursday price for April 25 will be $50 at the gate, open to Louisiana residents with valid ID. 

There also are VIP packages.

"Big Chief VIP" passes — which allow pass holders access to special viewing areas, toilets, an indoor, air-conditioned lounge and other amenities — will be $1,850 for the first weekend and $2,550 for the second weekend. A second weekend three-day pass (good May 3-5) is $1,700. This includes an air-conditioned lounge, exclusive beverage booths, raised and covered viewing stands at the major stages, ability to purchase VIP parking ($300 for the weekend) and/or VIP shuttle tickets ($200), express entrance lines, and exit and re-entry privileges. 

The "Grand Marshal VIP" pass offers closeup, standing-room-only space near the largest stage, the Shell Gentilly Stage and the Congo Square Stage, as well as access to a special lounge and restrooms. Passes are $1,750 for first weekend and $2,350 for second weekend. On-site parking passes and VIP shuttle tickets are available for purchase to pass holders.

The "Krewe of Jazz Fest" pass, which offers access to a private covered viewing area near the largest stage and other privileges, is $925 for first weekend and $1,350 for second weekend. Parking and VIP shuttles are available for purchase to pass holders.
