CAMILLE. A.R.K. Theatre, 511 Marigny St., 944-0771. Theatre troupe Running With Scissors presents this look at Dumas’ 1852 story of a prostitute who meets a dashing young man. Starring Flynn DeMarco, Veronica Oliver and Jim Jeske. Tickets range $12 to $15. Performances 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday.

DEGAS. Southern Repertory Theatre, Shops at Canal Place, Third Level, 861-8163. Erika Szanto directs this fictional romance of Edgar Degas’ visit to his New Orleans family in 1872. Tickets range $8 to $20. Performances 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday.

THE HOSTAGE. Tulane University, Lupin Theatre, 865-5106. The story of an innocent British soldier taken into an Irish bar by the IRA as a hostage. Directed by Tulane visiting professor James Donadio. Tickets range $5 to $8. Performances 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday; 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

THE MOVING OF LILLA BARTON. Anthony Bean Community Theatre, 1333 Carrollton Ave., 862-7529. Drama of a newly widowed minister’s wife who refuses to move out of the church-owned house to make way for the new minister. Anthony Bean directs Nancy Hammons, Gwendolyn Foxworth and Charles Bosworth. Tickets $15 and $20. Performances 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday.

TRUE WEST. Le chat noir, 715 St. Charles Ave., 581-5812. Sam Shepard’s popular play about two warring brothers is the first production of Big Shoulders Theatre Company. Stars Eddie Collins, Jerry Lee Leighton, Nancy Hakmmons and Julie Vorus. Directed by Jennifer Tuttle. Tickets $20. Performances 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, through April 28.

WIZARD OF OZ. Rivertown Repertory Theatre, 325 Minor Street, Kenner 468-7221. Celebrate the 100th anniversary of L. Frank Baum’s classic tale when the Imagine Theatre for Children brings to life this children’s tale with Dorothy, the Tinman, the Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion. Stars Mia Bullard and Whitney Haase in alternating roles as Dorothy. Tickets $10 adults, $8 children. Performance 2 p.m. Sunday.
