Kitchenware Care

Posted By on Thu, Nov 1, 2007 at 11:03 PM

How many whisks do I need in my kitchen? One.

How many do I have cluttering up my drawer space? Three.

Why? I do not know, but at least now I know how I can free my kitchen of clutter and help out a worthy cause along the way.

All this month and through the end of December, Savvy Gourmet is holding a kitchenware drive to benefit Hope House New Orleans. The nonprofit helps people who have become homeless get off the streets and into subsidized housing. Since part of Savvy Gourmet's business is selling kitchenware, its owners are doing their part to help by inviting customers to bring in donations of used kitchen tools, utensils, cookware and such that Hope House clients can use in their newly formed households.

To sweeten the deal, Savvy Gourmet will give you 15% off lunch or brunch from their kitchen when you make a donation of useful kitchen items.
