Jeremy Shockey's tenure as the New York Giants' outspoken tight end has apparently come to a close. The defending Super Bowl champs traded the former first round pick to the New Orleans Saints on Friday, according to FoxSports.com.The Giants will receive a second-round and a fifth-round draft pick in return, according to the report, which goes on to say the deal is now pending league approval and Shockey must pass a physical.
Besides being "outspoken," Shockey is described elsewhere as "talented but temperamental" and "disgruntled." We'll see if donning the Black and Gold tames Shockey's temperament and makes him more, well, gruntled.
