Tanker and tug collide, closing a 12-mile stretch of the river

Very little news yet except what the AP is reporting:

The Coast Guard has closed a 12-mile stretch of the Mississippi River at New Orleans after a collision between a tugboat and a tanker....

Michael Wilson, president of Laurin Maritime (America) Inc. in Houston, says there is not any leak from the double-hulled tanker Tintomara, which is loaded with biodiesel and styrene.

Young says a barge split in half, and other vessels are holding it in position.

They say there were no injuries, but no word yet on the exact position of the crash.

Ugh. As I was writing this, the story updated with the headline "Diesel pours into river after boat collision." So much for "not any leak," it seems...
