Attention Candidates

Candidates for public office who are interested in Gambit Weekly’s endorsement should contact Carol Bowman at (504) 486-5900 (or email carolb@gambitweekly.com) to schedule an interview. The first round of interviews will be Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 25 and 26, for candidates running in the Democratic primary for Congress in the Second District. The next round of interviews, for those on the Oct. 4 ballot, will be in mid-to-late September.
Gambit Weekly will consider endorsing in the following elections: U.S. Senate, Congress (Districts 1 & 2), Public Service Commission (District 1), state Senate (District 9), Orleans Parish district attorney, Orleans Parish School Board, and Jefferson Parish School Board (District 5).
Gambit Weekly has long supported the appointment of judges and therefore we do not endorse candidates for judicial offices.
