"The Excellence in Recovery Host Committee" honoring Ray Nagin

If you're not up to speed on this one, go to Krewe of Truth and We Could Be Famous to get schooled on the Aug. 22 event, in which dozens of the city's most prominent business and political folk are scheduled (allegedly) to attend "A Tribute to the Recovery of New Orleans," at which the group's "Award of Distinction For Recovery, Courage, and Leadership" will be presented to one C. Ray Nagin.

I just got off the phone with Councilwoman Jackie Clarkson, who is listed as one of the event's co-chairs, as well as some of the city's more prominent restaurateurs...and an interesting picture is emerging. I'll have an update within the hour. (Tease, I know.)
