The Guys in Uniform

There's nothing President Bush appreciates more than people in uniform. It's hard not to notice how often he appears at sporting events, like the Olympics (like here). And that more than five years into the war in Iraq, he has yet to attend a serviceman's funeral. But sticking to Saints camp while he's in town to mark the third anniversary of Katrina just begs the question - are there enough sporting events to occupy him till January 20th? While Bush hobnobs with the Saints, Dan Froomkin of the Washington Post has a preview of Bush's Katrina anniversary speech and a rundown of how Bush's handling of Katrina and its aftermath affected his presidency.

ROFLMAO, Gambit posts a picture of Bush with Afghan vet amputees when you make a lame attempt to excite the lumpen masses by claiming he avoids attending funerals of our war dead?
