An interesting tidbit from a USA Today article on John Hillcoat's forthcoming film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Road

The film, which stars Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron and 11-year-old Kodi Smit-McPhee, also was shot in Katrina-ravaged New Orleans and on Mount St. Helens in Washington state for scenes of devastation.          
Hey, at least our exploitation is getting more artistic. And you have to admit, the setting does makes sense. Per the above picture: Post-apocalyptic refugees or tonight's entertainment at the Spotted Cat?
