Final Stretch for Summer Restaurant Discounts

Posted By on Fri, Aug 22, 2008 at 4:20 PM

Everyone knows the tourism business in New Orleans cools down as the summer drags on and temperatures rise. But few people know that better than folks in the local restaurant industry.

To encourage locals to step up during the summer months and explore restaurants that may be outside their own rosters of personal favorites, the industry has been holding its COOLinary New Orleans promotion. The program ends next Sunday, Aug. 31, so this coming week is the final stretch to try out some of these deals.

Participating restaurants offer three-course COOLinary menus for $20 or less at lunch and $30 or less at dinner.

More than 30 restaurants are on board, including most of the Brennan-family restaurants and a few Uptown destinations, including Pascal's Manale and Martinique Bistro.

Leave a comment below if you've had an experience with one of these meal deals you want to share.
