Weatherwise, whom do you trust?

Posted By on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 4:31 PM

Since the Nash Man capped his Magic Markers for the final time, to whom do you look when there's a storm that bears watching?

I'm still stuck on Gumm. John Gumm. He's the one who convinced me to evac early before Katrina. John's in WKRC-TV in Cincinnati now, but he keeps an eye on things down here and drops in at Gulf Coast Wx with a message every once in a while. Today he wrote this about Gustav:

The ridge IS going to weaken according to the globals. How fast is the key. Of course, no body has the ability to predict this far out. But an educated guess for me is SW LA/Upper Texas. That's truly a worthless guess at this stage in the game though.

I'll pop in from time to time with my opinions...more so if it doesn't look good for SELA.

In this week's Best of New Orleans issue, readers voted for their most trusted weathercasters, and they are (in order) Bob Breck, Dawn Brown, and Carl Arredondo.

Whom do you trust?
