"Elect my dad and I'll get a tattoo"

So says Meghan McCain:

If Sen. John McCain wins the presidency in a little more than three weeks, his daughter said she'll tattoo "Live Free or Die" somewhere on her body.

Of course, he would have to win in New Hampshire, too, said Meghan McCain, who was in Nashua yesterday thanking volunteers at the McCain-Palin campaign office.

The tattoo, which would probably go on her wrist, would be her way of commemorating her father's run for the presidency, she said.

I like Meghan; she seems smart, real, and fun (but not too much fun, if you know what I mean). And she keeps her own blog as a campaign publicity tool, but it manages to be endearing rather than annoying. Of note are her iPod playlists. This is #7:

Little known fact: I am an insomniac and create playlists when trying to fall asleep on the road so if I create them in excess, please forgive. This playlist is a combination of what's been shuffling around my iPod at the moment. Noonday Underground's "Boy Like a Timebomb" will be stuck in your head after one listen, it's fantastic. I have been a huge fan of The Dead Milkmen since high school ever since an ex-boyfriend told me they would change my life. Other additions including Wilco and Siouxsie and the Banshees are absolute musts.

Also, I have been getting my fair share of comparisons to John Cusack's character in "High Fidleity" with my obsession with creating playlists (or in his case mixed tapes) and to that I say: I am unworthy, I will never be as cool as John Cusack.

(It's much better than #10, which is a guest playlist by Cindy McCain, featuring James Taylor, Debarge, and the instrumental theme from Dirty Dancing.)

Over in the Democratic kid camp, it's reported that after the election Sasha and Malia Obama won't be getting tattoos, but will be getting something a little more age-appropriate for pre-tweens: a puppy.
