Well That Certainly Didn't Go As Planned

Has anyone seen back-to-back performaces that were as strikingly different as the Saints last two games? They trounce the Raiders 34–3 one week and then travel to Carolina and put up a stinker against the Panthers. This game was supposed to a close, hard-fought division battle and it turned into a blowout. Then, adding injury to insult, Reggie Bush turned up with a knee injury that cost him a trip to London.

And everything had been going so well.

The Saints can't afford to dwell and, seeing as how they're on a plane to London right now, it's not like they have time to. The good news is that you can't get much worse than what the Saints showed today. The bad news is that they face a potentially dangerous Chargers team in London that just came off a tough loss at Buffalo.

Is it time to hit the panic button? Well, despite being last in the division, the Saints are only two games back. Unfortunately, the half-way point in the season is sneaking up and games and wins will be hard to come by. Saints fans should be dancing around the panic button and not pressing it until it completely drives them mad.
