Slouching toward the Bywater comes the 6t9 Social Aid & Pleasure Club Parade on Saturday night. The family friendly club marches from its clubhouse on the 1000 block of St. Claude Avenue in Treme to St. Bernard Avenue, back to the French Quarter and into the Marigny, ending at its post-party at Nighthawk's Diner. The costumed group parades with mini-floats to the sounds the Warren Easton High School Marching Band and members toss candy to children. This year's theme is Voodoo Freak-O-Nomics. Join the club for the march or watch along the route. Children are also welcome to ride or march in the parade.
