Too bad for you, tardy Halloween shoppers

This was the line yesterday at about 6 p.m. outside the Uptown costume store. It extended all the way down the block. I turned around and went to the drugstore to buy some pipe cleaners, which I guess I'll be wearing on my head, or something.

There's just as long a line out there today. These folks are better off drinking the Hallows Eve away at Ms Mae's...

I ordered my costume on Oct. 17 and it came in on Oct. 22....just in time for Halloween (harharhar).
THIS YEAR 2009 - Try New Orleans Party and Costume @ 705 Camp in the CBD they are open LATE the last couple of weeks before Halloween and have just as good if not even better a selection as uptown in a store that is four times the size & YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE TO GET IN! The staff is wayyyyy nicer too. I went there on Halloween day last year and they were still well stocked and the line to pay was long but maybe only 20 minutes. Hey that's better than most grocery stores.
