In which I take all the best news, quotes, pictures and everything else Saints-related toss it together and serve it up for our readers. This week we’ll be tackling the Saints (4–5) week 11 matchup in Kansas City, the home of barbecue, confusing geography and the 1–8 Chiefs.

  •  Best Reason to Care About this Game: Earlier in the week, Drew Brees said that this is as close to "must win" for the Saints as they've had all season. Ofcourse, he then added that pretty much every game is a "must win", but what does it say about your team if you season's fate hangs in the balance when playing the Chiefs.
  • Best Quote of the Week: "I don't really listen to it that much anyways," Jeremy Shockey said, speaking of the criticism of him in the media. "I go home, watch the news. There's more important things, more people died and things that happened than some things that happened on the sidelines." Amen.

  • Best Game-Related Storyline to Follow: The word is officially out: Reggie Bush will not play in Sunday's game. With no running game to speak of already, Drew Brees' MVP credentials have been tested often and he's been game more often than not. Going up against the league's worst defense, it'd be a surprised if Brees doesn't put up more monster numbers. (Here's hoping the Saints defense keeps up their end.)

  • Best Media Blowhard to Make Fun of Begrudgingly Praise: I'm not so sure that Presiden Obama should spend any time creating the position of "Sports Czar" or that ESPN's Bill Simmons would be the best person to take said position, but you gotta give him credit for some of his platform. Specifically his point on the NFL ("a no-exception three-city rotation for the Super Bowl among New Orleans, Miami and San Diego") and the NBA ("the Utah Jazz and New Orleans Hornets will switch nicknames").
  • Best Local Artist to Listen to Before/After the Game: The Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Their rendition of of St. James' Infirmary is among my favorite recordings ever. It's also the prefect soundtrack to Sunday should the Saints pull off a miracle and lose.
