Vetoing the vetoes

City Council tells Hizzoner no, no, no. Cynthia Willard-Lewis is the only dissenter.
Budget Chairman Cynthia Hedge-Morrell said that the council would restore the $1.45 million to the district attorney’s office and $1.7 million to the indigent defender’s office.
Morrell said the budget would eliminate take-home cars, except for public safety, saving about $2 million.
Just in time for the inspector general's report...in about 20 minutes from now.
