Brides-to-be, mothers of brides-to-be, wedding planners for brides-to-be and probably even a few husbands-to-be of brides-to-be should be out in force this evening, Jan. 14, when Sucre holds an open house of sorts for those in the market for a wedding cake.
Tariq Hanna, executive pastry chef for the Uptown dessert emporium, is getting a jump on the spring wedding season by showcasing his latest cake designs. Several wedding cakes and groom's cakes will be on display, along with ideas for wedding favors. The shop will serve complimentary champagne at the event, which is free and open to the public.
The event is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this evening at Sucré, 3025 Magazine St.
