Obama's stimulus plan may be bogged down in the Senate, but locals can get immediate comic relief Saturday night when Krewe du Vieux presents its Stimulus Package. The raunchy and satyrical parade has altered its route slightly from previous years, now beginning and ending at the Colton School. Frankie Ford is the parade's cruise director, and further information about the parade, subkrewes and their floats is available in Le Monde du Merde. The krewe ball following the parade features music by parading brass bands, Eric Lindell and the Zydepunks. Tickets ($25) are not available at the door, and must be purchased in advance at locations including the Studio at Colton (2300 St. Claude Ave.), Louisiana Music Factory (210 Decatur St.), Miss Claudia's Vintage Clothing & Costumes (4204 Magazine St.) and up in Smoke (4507 Magazine St.).
