Will the Dunking Carnage Ever End?

OK, this is getting absurd. When are people going to learn? Just because you're dunking off a trampoline doesn't make you invincible. The rules of physics (and pain, for that matter) still apply.

Above is the Washington Wizard's G-Man (D.C.'s version of Super Hugo) and he's having an intimate moment with the rim. This happened during yesterday's Hornets-Warriors game when G-Man and some other NBA mascots were in town yesterday to celebrate Hugo's birthday. Of course, Hugo's birthday mean a trampoline dunk contest and, it being New Orleans, someone had to make it dangerous. Apparently, every time someone jumps off a trampoline and towards a basket in New Orleans — even when performed by professionals — something terrible like this will happen.

There's a grainy video of the whole event after the jump. Props to the Magic's mascot who was sporting a brace and barely did much of anything. As far as I could tell, he was not deliberately making fun of this poor guy.
