Chefs and Bikers Unite

Posted By on Wed, May 6, 2009 at 2:19 PM

For those who may not have heard the roar and rumble, we're in the midst of the inaugural Bike Week New Orleans. In addition to bike shows, concerts, plantation runs and bike stunts, this new event features a cooking challenge called Chrome Kitchen.

From Thursday to Saturday, a rotation of eight local chefs will team up with prominent motorcycle builders and bike world personalities at performance kitchens in the Convention Center for an Iron Chef-style cook-off. Their challenge is to come up with an on-the-spot recipe using local ingredients

A list of the local chefs and their bike industry partners is online here.

Tickets, which start at $20 for a day pass to Bike Week events, are available at the convention center box office.
