Lil' Easy like Tuesday Morning

Posted by Google on Thu, Jun 11, 2009 at 7:44 PM

This Tuesday, June 16, New Orleans' Regional Transit Authority will debut two new Lil' Easy routes — one in Lakeview, and another in Gentilly. RTA will make the announcement at the University of New Orleans lakefront campus at 10:30 a.m. The new, neighborhood-customized routes add to the current fleet already offering its shuttle services in the Lower 9th Ward.

The flexible-route transit service utilizes three main pickup points in Lakeview (Canal Boulevard and City Park Avenue; UNO at Alumni Drive; and the Jefferson Parish (JeT) transfer point at Veterans Memorial Boulevard and Carrollton Avenue), with 43 flexible stops in-between. In Gentilly, the buses have two main pickup points (Winn-Dixe at Chef Menteur and Desire, and UNO at Alumni Drive), with 52 flexible points.

Note: The Lakeview schedule has been revised after publication. The stops that have been eliminated are numbers 25, 28, 30, 46, 47 and 48. The Gentilly is correct as printed.
