First Family of Jazz

First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a jazz concert/education event at the White House Monday. Roughly 150 D.C. jazz students were treated to a concert featuring no less than five Marsalis family members (Ellis, Wynton, Branford, Delfeayo and Jason, Cuban jazz great Paquito D'Rivera and . NOCCA students also attended and performed. The event drew coverage (Washington Post, CNN) and a review from the New York Times. (This slideshow suggests only Marsalis family members performed.)
