It's a Hoot

Now here’s something you won’t want to miss on a Saturday night: our own Metairie Hooters girl Jamie Walch will compete against 130 of her peers from all over the world for more than $150,000 in cash and prizes. The winner of the 13th Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant will win $50,000 and will be featured in Hooters Magazine, will get her own month in the Hooters calendar and will appear in TV commercials for the restaurant.
The pageant will be held in Hollywood, Fla., (Who said you couldn’t become a star on the right coast?) starting at 7 p.m. June 20, but it will be broadcast at all area Hooters restaurants, where you just might be served a burger and fries by a future contestant. It also will be streamed live on www.hooters.com.
Personally I’ll be going for the healthful salads; my husband – not so much.
