Of special note: One of our summer interns, Jessica Williams, was nominated for Best Investigative Story for "WFF Doesn't Pay Enough," an investigation she wrote for the Loyola Maroon while a college student. (She was nominated in the category along with writers from The Times-Picayune and New Orleans CityBusiness.) Very proud of you, Jessica.
For a full list of nominees, check the Press Club site. The awards will be handed out at a ceremony at Harrah's July 18th, hosted by CNN's Kyra Phillips. Lifetime achievement awards will be presented to The Times-Picayune's Walt Philbin and WDSU-TV meteorologist Dan Milham.
