New Orleans is taking green international. Tomorrow, the Alliance for Affordable Energy will play host to a group of Japanese bigwigs in the construction materials biz. They'll be interested in the Alliance's progress with radiant barrier, a material designed to deflect heat from homes and attics. New Orleans and Okinawa share a similar climate certain times of year, and the region may decide to require radiant barrier technology in new construction. "Keeping the brand out there" doesn't sound so bad this time around. Alliance representatives will take the businessmen on a tour of local homes currently using radiant barrier.

Also over at the ol' ArtEgg Building, Repower America has opened its Louisiana office, where the group will campaign and address green jobs and, as the name implies, clean energy solutions.
