'Freak' Show

While John C. Reilly was in town this past year filming his upcoming Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant, I seemed to be the only person I knew who hadn't bumped into him — literally. The actor had stumbled into a few different friends on a few separate occasions, usually on Frenchmen Street or at some bar and always very late at night. Perhaps that had something to do with his role as a vaudevillian vampire in the film, shot locally and in Baton Rouge (and in the inevitable Universal lot in Hollywood). The trailer started making the rounds online today, so here's the first look at the film (slotted for an Oct. 23 release):
