It's been a little more than six months since the French Quarter bartender Wendy Byrne was shot to death on a sidewalk at the corner of Dauphine and Gov. Nicholls strets. At the time, everyone -- residents, community groups, politicians and the police -- vowed change. We decided to go back and see just what's changed since Wendy's death ... and what hasn't. Allen Johnson Jr. investigates.

Clancy DuBos weighs in on the man who earned the nickname Dollar Bill Jefferson, and why his downfall this week was a tragedy for everyone: for the city and for the man who came so far, only to be undone by the love of money ...

Will Coviello previews Mr. Marmalade, the new (and extremely edgy) production of The NOLA Project ...

• ... and Ian McNulty takes his taste buds to Metairie and gets all up in Phil's Grill.

Inside the magazine: our monthly guide to home and style, CUE. Acting editor Kyla Boutte will be on the WWL Eyewitness Morning News on Monday in the 8 o'clock hour to show off the results and give viewers a look at street chic.

See you on the newsstand, or online Monday afternoon.
