Start: Purple Rain. Washington Ave & Saratoga. Up Washington Ave. to S. Liberty. Left on S. Liberty to Freret St. Left on Freret St. to Gen. Taylor. Right on Gen. Taylor.
Stop: Silky's Lounge, Gen. Taylor and Magnolia. Men Buckjumpers 25th Anniversary Tribute. Proceed out Gen. Taylor. Cross over S. Claiborne Ave. and continue out Gen. Taylor to S. Prieur St. Right on S. Prieur St. to Delachaise. Right on Delachaise.
Stop: Loretta's House. Lady Buckjumpers 25th Anniversary Show Off. Continue down Delachaise to S. Claiborne Ave. Left on S. Claiborne.
Stop: Daiquiri Shop. Continue out S. Claiborne Ave. to Washington Ave. Left on Washington Ave. to Rocheblave.

Hey guys. was in your city over the weeknd and caught my very first second line....WOW...had a blast, and will be making the drive over from Mobile more often. My question is....who was the queen, and how are they selected for the honor or riding atop the float?

Don't know who the LBJ queen was this year. Choosing royalty is done in different ways. Nine Times - the woman approached them and asked. Dumaine Street Gang (this weekend) their president will be the queen. Sometimes clubs choose based on who has given the community a lot of support. It just depends. FYI, I usually have the route up Saturday before the parades so check back then.
