Lady Jetsetter Secondline Parade Sunday 12noon - 4pm

According to Semi-Homemade’s Sandra Lee WDSU’s Margaret Orr, its supposed to be in the low 40’s tomorrow. But nola.com says mid 50’s and I’m going with that - and some Jack Daniels. I suggest you quit your bellyaching about this cold weather and come out and get you some New Orleans style exercise: a four-hour long cocktail-fortified cross-town dance trek courtesy of the Lady Jetsetters Social Aid and Pleasure Club.
Now about the route... There isn’t one. That is to say, the club hasn’t published one to my knowledge but I have it on good authority that it begins at Dryades and Delachaise at 12pm. I’ll put ten more on that intel and give you last year’s route - obviously its not precise but they stops are generally the same albeit in a different order. For the uninitiated, this is old school second line adventure, before you had route sheets published all nice and fresh online. Follow this general outline and the freshly laid tracks of street trash and you’ll be fine.

Stop: Sportsman’s Lounge (15 min.) Out 2nd St. to Danneel St. Left on Danneel St. Out Danneel St. to 3rd St.
Stop: Bean Bros. (15 min.) Out Danneel St. to Delachaise St. Left on Delachaise St. Out Delachaise St. to Dryades. Left on Dryades.
Stop: Gladstone Lounge (15 min.). Out Dryades to Louisiana Ave. Cross Louisiana Ave. Left turn on Louisiana Ave. Out Louisiana Ave. to Magnolia St. Left on Magnolia. Out Magnolia St. to Gen. Taylor. Right on Gen. Taylor St. Out Gen. Taylor to S. Claiborne. Out S. Claiborne.
