The Metropolitan Bicycle Coalition hosts its 2010 Bicycle Second Line tomorrow at 10 a.m. All are welcome to join the parade, which departs at 10:30 a.m. from Audubon Park at the Magazine Street entrance (Magazine Street and Zoo Drive). New Orleans Police Department will escort the parade to the French Quarter and back, conlcuding with an after-party fundraiser at Avenger Field (Tchoupitoulas Street and Exposition Boulevard). The Crescent City Stompers also will join the "second line."

At 8 a.m., a free Bicycle Rodeo at Audubon Charter School, co-hosted by the New Orleans EMS and the National Safety Council, teaches kids about bicycle safety and provides free helmets to participants.

MBC hosts the event to display enthusiasm for cycling and resources in New Orleans, and to showcase citywide cycling improvements.

Visit www.mbcnola.org to sign up, or follow the group on Twitter. Look for the hashtag #Bike2ndLine during the event to see where it is if you want to meet on the route.
