The CAC presents Olive Dance Theatre's "Swift Solos" on Friday and Saturday (8 p.m. June 11-12). The program features a collection of vignettes in which the Philadelphia troupe's dancers fuse modern dance, hip-hop and breakdancing in tribute to renowned breakdancing innovator Ken Swift. On Thursday evening, the CAC hosts a panel discussion on the evolution of hip-hop (going head to head with the Ogden's After Hours concert (6 p.m.- 8 p.m.) featuring Mississippi bluesman Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, and the museum's Bounce expo "Where They At"). The CAC Panel features Ken Swift, Olive artistic director Jamie Merwin and New Orleans bounce artists YA BOY BIG CHOO and Vockah Redu, who will both perform after the discussion. Tickets for Olive's performances are $20 general admission, $15 CAC members. The panel discussion is free.
