The Gambit Community Players Present a Dramatic Reading of Theodore P. Mahne's Review of "Avenue Q" As Seen In The Times-Picayune

About six of us from Gambit were at the Mahalia Jackson Theater last night for the opening night of Broadway Across America's Avenue Q, and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. Not so for The Times-Picayune's Theodore P. Mahne, who said of the show "By the end of the first act, you’re ready to send them all to their rooms," and philosophized on why the puppets of Avenue Q are inferior to those of Sesame Street: "Audiences developed an emotional response to Kermit the Frog because he became a real character – and you couldn’t see Jim Henson’s hand up his butt."

Ted's review was so awesome (he even hated the parking -- the parking!!) that Gambit thought the high points deserved a dramatic reading. Ladies and gentlemen, herewith: The Gambit Community Players Present a Dramatic Reading of Theodore P. Mahne's Review of "Avenue Q" in The Times-Picayune.
