And the TBC ain't at a single club on a weekly basis. For those protesting their presence at Bourbon and Canal, sign that band UP.
rick james wig - damn girl! i am having a superfreak flashback!
To Be Continued Brass Band's "club" is the corner of Bourbon and Canal and the band is there on Tuesdays through Saturdays 8ish to 11-ish, unless the curfew ordinance is being enforced or the band has other gigs. If it's the latter, there will usually be another band in that spot, sometimes it's the Young Fellaz or the Little People Brass Band.
The Tremé Brass Band blew the doors of the Candlelight Lounge last Wednesday. The crowd came from every quarter in town, whooped and danced in every square inch of the place. If you go early, walk to the back and ask for a helping of rice with bean and sausage stew, yours for whatever you want to pitch in to the tip jar. The woman who makes and serves the food drinks Bud Light. Buy a cold one for her, might help you get a bigger serving...and give you more energy to get down with the band.
