Tonight: Who do you think you are?

Posted By on Fri, Jul 9, 2010 at 7:43 PM

Soul singer and New Orleans native Jean Knight is this guest at tonight's Conversations and Cocktails, the Ponderosa Stomp Foundation's monthly event at the Cabildo (701 Chartres St., 568-6968; http://lsm.crt.state.la.us). DJ Soul Sister interviews the Knight, who is best known for the 1971 hit "Mr. Big Stuff" (below), and DJ Matty of Mod Night Dance Party fame spins records in the courtyard. Guests can also check out Ponderosa Stomp's Unsung Heroes museum exhibit during the event for free.

Conversations and Cocktails is from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Louisiana State Museum at the Cabildo. Free admission.
