A followup to her bestselling 2009 memoir, Going Rogue, Palin’s new volume sounds like less of a biography and more of a gallimaufry of conservative ideas and themes; HarperCollins, the publisher, says in promotional materials that the book “will include selections from classic and contemporary readings that have moved her — from the nation’s founding documents to great speeches, sermons, letters, literature and poetry, biography and even some of her favorite songs and movies.”
For those unable to make the Jeff Parish booksigning, Palin will be appearing at the Baton Rouge Books-A-Million on Towne Center Boulevard Nov. 30. According to the store's manager, anyone who wants to attend needs to come by the store Nov. 28 to receive a wristband.

Someone should go and explain to Governor Palin what real conservatism means while shes down here promoting sales for her book.
Alaskans get checks from the government based on the state's oil royalties. Louisiana has to keep cutting programs like education because the royalty split is unbalanced. Someone ought to ask her about that.
cousin pat, education? you mean government schools. That's called socialism and the government schools , housing projects, TSA are prime examples of the failure of government/socialism. Repeal all laws to 1890 , repeal the EPA, TSA, FEC ,FCC, Government schools , and your damn royalties. that you all think that some government bureaucrat can decide to take our money at the point of a gun to do with what they is for "security" , "education, etc. is against freedom and doesn't work.
Cousin Pat from Georgia- Your description of the checks Alaskans get, known as the Permanent Fund Divedend, is not based on royalties, it is based on the earnings of the Pernmanent Fund. Monies are invested and the earnies from that is divided among all those Alaskans who qualify to receive checks. This fund was set up many years ago to give back to Alaskans.
I guess what I hate most about Palin, besides the obvious ignorance and intolerance in practically everything she says and does, is that she quit as Alaska's governor (though I do believe it was best for the state). Politics is the slimy underbelly of government; a necessary shit pool candidates must hold their noses and wade through in order to be elected to office and have a chance to make a real difference by governing.
Palin quit governing so she would have more time to play politics. I think that clearly outlines her values.
