New Orleans arts collective Press Street — host of the annual 24-hour art party Draw-A-Thon, publisher of graphic novels and other experimental literary works, and curator of fine- and low-art exhibits citywide — has released its latest, How to Rebuild a City: Field Guide from a Work in Progress. It kicks off the release with a party tomorrow, Dec. 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Beth's Books/Sound Cafe (2700 Chartres St.).

The "field guide" features contributions and collaborative works from more than 100 New Orleans residents, offering a portrait of the post-Katrina landscape. The release party also features live music by Little Freddie King, with drinks, food and more. Admission is free.

Proceeds from books sales benefit Rebuilding Together New Orleans (which you can read a bit about here, in this week's Gambit.)
