  • Gov. Bobby Jindal gets some attention from Gawker.

It's probably not a good thing when Gawker is reporting on your actions. Gawker editor Jeff Neumann apparently enjoyed this Washington Post story about a draft of a federal report stating that the sand berms constructed to protect Louisiana's coast from oil succeeded in keeping out a "minuscule" amount. The Post story also highlights the feds' role in approving the plan in spite of the doubts of scientists about its likely effectiveness.

In the past, Gawker's sister site Wonkette had fun with Jindal's response to Obama's State of the Union Address, in which Jindal called volcano monitoring a waste of money.
