It sounds too good to be true, but it is possible to get two tickets to the Super Bowl XLV for just $25. The NFL Youth Education Town Boys & Girls Club (NFL YET) is selling $25 raffle tickets for the the Feb. 6 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers in Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas, outside of Dallas. NFL YET began selling the tickets today.
You can buy the raffle tickets online at www.bgcsela.org, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, calling 566-0707 or stopping by the NFL YET Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Louisiana administrative office at 650 Poydras St., suite 2225.
A drawing for the tickets will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at the NFL YET New Orleans Boys and Girls Club (1140 S. Broad St.). According to CNNMoney.com, online vendors are charging an average of just more than $5,000 for Super Bowl tickets, which have a face value of between $600 and $1,200. About 4,000 tickets are available, the site says.
Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the NFL YET Boys and Girls, which provides a safe place and recreation for youngsters in need of adult supervision and something to do. NFL YET also provides youth with education, technical training and help in developing positive life skills.
