The cable network Bravo just announced Gautreau's executive chef Sue Zemanick will appear as one of the contestants on its next season of Top Chef Masters, set to premiere April 6. John Currence, a Mississippi-based New Orleans native who was sous chef at Gautreau's and helped open Bacco, will also compete on the show.

The spin-off of Bravo's Top Chef series features established chefs competing in "quickfire" and "elimination challenges" for the charities of their choice. Zemanick will be competing for the Louisiana SPCA, and Currence, who currently runs the City Grocery Restaurant Group in Oxford, Miss., will compete for No Kid Hungry.

New Orleans chef John Besh competed on the first season of the show.
