Elizabeth Taylor dies at age 79

The AP reports that Elizabeth Taylor died this morning. (NYT obit here, LA Times obit here). She was 79. The legendary actress starred in a long list of classic films, some of the most popular and critical successes being screen adaptations from major American playwrights, including Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Suddenly Last Summer as well as Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
