JURY DUTY IN ORLEANS PARISH! If you've never been called to serve, your time may be running out, as DA Leon Cannizzaro has challenged Criminal Court judges to double their output of jury trials this year. Ian McNulty recently went through a month of jury service (a day or two at a time), and he's got some insight and tips for the inevitable day duty will call for you. (And since Ian's a restaurant writer: where to get an edible meal within walking distance of Tulane and Broad.)

Alex Woodward outlines the permitting mess in the Marigny between the Iron Rail book collective, the Plan B Bike Workshop, the A.R.K. and NOPD's 5th District. With the Krewe of Eris street fight during Mardi Gras and the closure of the Blue Nile mask market, are the cops targeting the alternative crowd in the Marigny? Plus: District C councilmember Kristin Gisleson Palmer talks to Gambit about the permitting problems in her district ...

Jeremy Alford on the backroom redistricting deals being cut in Baton Rouge ...

Clancy DuBos weighs in on the redistricting battle as well ...
