Quintron and Miss Pussycat serve up puppets and booze

Face Down in the Gutter from Panacea Theriac on Vimeo.

Quintron and Miss Pussycat's combined puppet show and in-residence music studio at NOMA, "Parallel Universe," has become a multimedia platform. The Sucre du Sauvage album was released in April and there was a listening party at the museum recently. Several videos also were posted on Miss Pussycat's Vimeo page. The video above for the track "Face Down in the Gutter" shows what happens when Quintron - acting as bartender - serves booze (via tiny airplane bottles) to puppets in a speakeasy. It's not pretty. But the Vimeo page has a much cuter and perhaps as bizarre 12-minute episode of Pussycat's serialized puppet saga Trixie and the Treetrunks, and it's named for one of the songs on Sucre, "Spirit Hair."
