The problem with dining in Louisiana is that I can never find seafood restaurants. All the seafood places I do hear about are all these pretentious, white tablecloth places. Who needs that? I just want fresh, straight-from-the-boat — or freezer, whatever — seafood that's affordable and in a casual atmosphere where my kids are welcome. Simply put, I want to eat at a casual seafood restaurant that's both wallet-friendly and family-friendly. And close proximity to a shopping mall is a plus.
If you're looking for the same things in a restaurant, you're gonna love this place I recently tried. Not only do they have fresh, sizzlin' seafood, it's a great place for kids and you can wear pretty much whatever you want. They're really enthusiastic about birthdays, and they have these amazing biscuits, which I believe are from the Cheddar Bay region of New England? I don't know — I couldn't quite catch what Mike, our waiter, told us about them. But what I do know is I'm not the only one who likes them!
I don't know about you, but I trust them — especially since they were the ones who let us know about our other favorite restaurant. I guess I also could try that seafood restaurant they mention at the end, but I don't see how it could be better than this place.

That review read like a ransom note: HELP MY EDITOR HAS SENT ME TO RED LOBSTER...
"Maybe the endless commercials enticed Baton Rouge area appetites or maybe the adventure of trying something new urged them on, but whatever the reason the lot was packed early at Red Lobster..."
"Several birthdays were being celebrated, music was playing and there were lots of people having fun but we couldn’t help but look at the longtime Baton Rouge seafood restaurant across the street and make a note to go back there really soon."
