It's part of an event sponsored by the Press Club of New Orleans, which will be hosting a book club event earlier that evening with Edwards and his biographer, Leo Honeycutt, at Hermann-Grima House on the "St. Louis Strip" (820 St. Louis St.). Tickets are $10 for non-members, and will soon be on sale at the Press Club website.
I'll be at Molly's, pretending I didn't write "Seriously, y'all, would we be dancing like marionettes for Dave Treen or Buddy Roemer or the one who never even bothered with New Orleans, Mike Whatshisname? Is this really any more or less interesting than Paris Hilton?" ... and hoping EWE, or his lovely bride, doesn't slip something unpleasant into my drink.

FYI Kevin, Dave Treen has passed on.
But it is funny to mock Republicans for being marionettes for Romer or Foster, when they have essentially no following today, while the Democrats can't even find a candidate to run agaisnt Jindal, and are still dancing for the old criminal, the only man the Democrats have elected to governor I beleive since about 1971. Just think about it in 40 years one man has been the only governor you guy have danced.
i have stopped drinking alcohol but I still want to meet Gov. Edwards.
Maybe one night he'll come to Tommy's wine bar and listen to me play the piano
Will be nice to Welcome EE home! I'll be there and will start drinking if Edwin makes it! Molly's does a Fantastic Frozen Irish Coffee (easy enough for an old guy we still can't help but love)
See you there Edwin!
Frankly, dears, I may have to make an appearance. If I do, I will still be in mourning for the new Nouvelle Orleans. Look for the lady in black - veil and all. Edwin needs to know that many remember him and in all honesty believe he did good for the state and its citizens. Sorry, Clancy, dear.
He is one of my top twenty guys I'd like to sit down and have a drink with...and play poker with...is there a back room at mollys? Jim Monaghan Are you looking down?
Well, at least it's comforting to see that the last 3 mind-boggling posts are by brainless twits who are in the moldin' golden years of their lives. Don't worry, shugah, at the rate heart disease and colon/lung cancer is killing off your boomer generation in this state, there soon won't be any of you left to vote in a slimy, wormy crook of this low stature. For that, NO ONE will be wearing black. The sun will shine too brightly for it-
