Silence Is Violence peace walk today at 6pm

Today at 6pm Silence Is Violence in partnership with the Young Men Olympian Jr. Benevolent Association is sponsoring a Peace Walk. The Peace Walk will begin at the YMO Hall and proceed through the Central City neighborhood, spreading a message of peace and community engagement. Resource information for victims and victim-survivors of violence will be distributed. Everyone is welcome.

Start: Young Men Olympian, Jr. Hall, 2101 South Liberty Street. Out Josephine St. to Simon Bolivar Avenue. Up Simon Bolivar Ave. to Jackson Avenue. Right on Jackson Ave. to Willow Street. Right on Willow St. to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. to S. Liberty Street Right on S. Liberty St. to Josephine St. Stop: Vacant lot across from YMO, Jr. Hall.

The Stooges Brass Band will play after the walk.
