The reliably good Campbell Robertson has a front-pager in today's New York Times: "In New Orleans, a Struggle to Reverse the City’s Soaring Rate of Homicides." It was a far more hopeful (almost aspirational) title than the headline on the jump: "New Orleans Adds Rising Rate of Homicides to Its List of Crippling Problems" — above a Danny Monteverde cellphone pic of cops and police tape in front of the hot-cha Chris Owens Club:
