Santa Fe Tapas, the spin-off from the genre-jumping cantina/bistro Santa Fe Restaurant, has begun a monthly wine-pairing series that continues this week.
The Uptown restaurant, which opened last spring in a former La Madeleine location, serves an eclectic menu. On the first Thursday of the month, it also offers a special menu of tapas-sized dishes with wine pairings.
“It gives us a chance to go outside our established boundaries,” says manager Orhan Ergun. “We have wine experts speak, and while we’re trying to cut some of the snobbery out of wine tasting experience we want them to stand up and explain the wines and why we chose them for each dish.”
This month’s line-up includes seven small dishes and seven wines, each from the Pacific Northwest, for $37, plus tax and gratuity.A live acoustic duo will perform through the evening.
