New Orleans got super fancy this weekend. The city hosted Brad Pitt's $1,000-a-plate Make it Right gala (which was followed by an after-party that was somewhat affordable for normal humans), drawing out celebs including actors Octavia Spencer (The Help), Kerry Washington (A Thousand Words), Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation, this thing), Minka Kelly (???), and many others. Meanwhile, at an event equally star-studded in the eyes of public radio nerds, This American Life host Ira Glass fiddled with an iPad (and also discussed storytelling and broadcast journalism) for a rapt audience at Tulane. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go stake out the French Quarter in hopes of spotting Angelina Jolie. If the camera adds ten pounds, then I'm not entirely certain how her arms can exist in real life.
