Printing, whether for art, newspapers or commerce, is a messy business and a lot of paper often goes to waste. When Good Children Gallery member Tony Campbell was a hot young graphic designer in his native London, he was commissioned to create a poster featuring Che Guevara as part of an advertising campaign for a brand of vodka. He kept some of the outtakes, one of which appears here as part of the Landfill installation at the Good Children. A collaboration of Campbell and Matt Vis created for the 2012 Southern Graphics Council International Conference, March 14-17, it’s an ironic reminder of what most artists already knew — that much of what they do is destined for the landfill.
